Located southwest of Brisbane CBD is a region called Greater Springfield. Close to the suburb of Ipswich, this region is an up and coming area for investors and renters. New Estates, town centres, schools and recreational facilities are being established in the region, given more employment opportunities and demand for housing in the area.

Some facts about the Greater Springfield region:

  • Population of 110,000 people with a 10km radius
  • Includes suburbs like Springfield Lakes, Springfield, Brookwater, and stretching out to Spring Mountain and Augustine Heights
  • This region is located between Logan and Ipswich
  • Travel times to main CBDs: 32mins to Brisbane, 50mins to the Gold Coast
  • Brisbane Airport and Port of Brisbane are easily accessible via the Logan and Gateway Motorway
  • A 52 hectare integrated health precinct is being developed to deliver a health and wellness experience for the community through the provision of quality healthcare, medical education and research as well as aged and seniors living.
  • Train stations available at Springfield Central and Springfield Lakes
  • Job creation target for 2030 is 30,000
  • $85 billion project investment for development in the region
