Gold Coast Property Investments

There seems to be no end in sight for the current boom in Gold Coast Property Investments. Recently, CoreLogic released data showing that the median house price rose a staggering 7.9% in the last year, to a record $615,000. It seems buyers are running to secure the last remaining developed lots, particularly in northern Gold Coast region (Pimpama, Coomera, Ormeau etc.).

Cameron Kusher, a research analyst for CoreLogic, stated that the Gold Coast is experiencing more rapid growth than Brisbane, “it seems as though much of the demand across these regions is coming from an acceleration in internal migration to Queensland, and where buyers from Sydney and Melbourne are using substantial equity earned to secure lifestyle properties in the state.”

It is predicted that the population will grow to 1.1 million by 2050, and much of this growth will be in the major northern metropolitan areas of Coomera & Pimpama.

With all of this happening, land prices are rising and land supply is becoming harder to come across. Kevin Sulzburger, a local developer, states that “buyers will need to get used to buying smaller lots or risk missing out altogether.”

The Gold Coast is already the 6th largest city in Australia and rising. With the 2018 Commonwealth Games fast approaching, the area is about to be showcased on the world stage, which will create even more interest. Jump on an investment property in the area today before you miss out!
